The Minstrel harp is one of our smaller harps, having 22 strings. It is 39" tall and weighs 14lbs. It has a 3 octave range; its lowest note is the G below middle C. Because of the nature of small harps, you will play most music an octave higher than it is written. This harp has a bright even tone and is simple and delightful to play. This harp is specially designed for the student who is expecting to transfer to a pedal harp. The action is tighter than many folk/lever harps, to better match the action of a pedal harp. A solid spruce soundboard gives it a full rich tone, even when played most softly, and the transition between wound and filament strings is very smooth. The removable feet facilitate adjustment for the size of the player, as well as making the harp a bit more compact for transport. Its range is more than four octaves; its lowest note is two Cs below middle C. The tone of this harp is clear, strong, and sweet. Even under the hand of a beginner, it fills the room with sound.
