Your kitchen is one of the most important investments you will make in your home.

The kitchen is the heart of the home. It is true that we may not spend as much time there as our great grandmothers did, but we still cook and eat in the kitchen and there is something friendly about the room that invites conversations with the people that pass through.

While it is easy to idealize the role of the kitchen, for most of us it also needs to be a real workhorse, allow quick food preparation, be central, but not a traffic area, roomy, efficient, and attractive. We work with you to facilitate your space, include your special dreams, and to build an enduring part of your home.

Because our kitchens are truly custom built, and you are involved in every step of the design process, you really can have every feature that your space and budget allow. You will be using these cabinets for years, and we want them to work well for you.

Our kitchens are price competitive with other top of the line cabinetry. They are sturdier than most, featuring _" birch plywood carcasses, solid wood face frames, doors and drawer fronts, and dovetailed drawers, self-closing drawer slides and hinges, and a large variety of pulls and handles.

This natural cherry kitchen is in a new arts and crafts style home with 9’ ceilings and extra tall upper cupboards. Note the beaded tongue and groove back on the peninsula, and the glass doors on the cupboard that opens both into the kitchen and dining room.

The white oak cabinets in this kitchen are topped with a row of small cupboards where pieces that are only used seasonally are stored. This kitchen is in a new home that showcases some fine antiques.

The cherry cupboards compliment this older classic home. Note the various depths of the upper cupboards, accented with the crown molding. The plate rack is with easy reach of the dishwasher (not shown) and near the dining room door.

The Harris hygrometer

The peninsula that divides the kitchen area from the dining area in this hickory kitchen is finished with beaded tongue and groove and the counter is rounded at the end to ease traffic flow. Hickory varies a lot from light to dark, but the cupboards in this new home blend nicely because boards were matched carefully.
